Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link on An Island Life's site. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
My question is how do you celebrate Valentine's Day as a family?
This year we are hoping that my husband is going to be home but otherwise we are making our own homemade heart shaped pizzas, watching movies all cuddled on the couch and then maybe playing some games. Have a great Valentines Day!

The kids are grown, so we will have breakfast at an Italian bakery, shopping, dive into a nice chocolate shop, shop some more, Mexican or steak lunch, giving her a necklace and a card, watching a romantic movie at home, and cooking supper for her.
Well, usually we do a fancy schmancy dinner as a family. But, this year, big Daddy has a man weekend. So, that means Mommy and Toddler are going out to a kid-friendly place and praying we don't get ketchup stains!
We were going to go to a movie without the kids, or I wanted to get rid of the kids and do a really special dinner at home, really special, hehe. but I don't think anyone will take my sick kids.
Since Donnie isn't feeling good, we are going to just rent a movie and stay home together.
Heart pizzas sound fun, but I don't think that many people here are up to eating pizza yet.
We usually go out to dinner somewhere nice & then come home & watch a great family show.
We do not really do too much for Valentine's Day. We get a little something for each of the boys, exchange cards and sometimes we go out to eat.
We go out to dinner and maybe a movie.
We always had a fun dinner and movie. We would make crafts and a fun dessert.
We have a special meal, chocolates watch a movie and or play games.
Well, this Valentine's Day we will be watching our little man's hockey team play during an intermission of our local AHL hockey team.
A fun meal with red and hearts . . . spaghetti (red sauce) and garlic bread (cut into hearts). The kids get little special gifts from me. I also add a love letter --written especially to each child -- to their scrapbooks.
