Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link on An Island Life's site. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends! You DO NOT have to be a blogger to make comments or to visit other blogs that are participating!!
My question this week is:
How do you potty train a three year old boy that does not want to be potty trained??? ANY help will be useful....Thank you!

you know my plan. I beat 'em into submission. LOL
OK, so that only works with 4 year olds.
Ooooh. Good luck with that. I have no idea, my son is still a baby. I know some boys wait and wait to potty train completely!
Not that I recommend this, but it just happens that my answer to my own Aloha Friday question last week tells my story of training my 3 yr. old daughter http://margom3720.blogspot.com/2009/02/aloha-friday.html
Oh my word I was in your shoes last year.. I thought my son would never ever go on his own..grrr I was so frustrated. Using a chart with stickers and rewards really really helped..and it was like within the week.. He DECIDED it was time to go like a big boy lol
I wish I could help. My oldest trained really easily with the other kids at daycare. We used stickers as rewards and he loved that. My little guy is almost two and showing major signs of wanting to train. I am nervous since we have a big trip coming up.
I'm no help. Someone told me to use the Potty Training in one day method. They swore by it. My son's too young, though.
I am in the same position! My son will be 3 in a few weeks. He couldn't care less. He wants to wear underwear, and pees in them within 10 minutes. UUgh! Let me know if you find a solution, please!!
Goodness I wish I had an answer for you. My son is turning 3 tomorrow and we are making absolutely no progress with him either. Good luck to us both!
I just let them lead. That is all I could do with Caleb. What got him was I just made the comment "when he is potty trained, he will be able to help Maddie with potty training...or teach her how." That day he no longer wanted to wear diapers.
Bribery! That is what finally worked for my youngest!
Not sure-- my little guy is 2 and 1/2. Let me know when you find out the answer. ;D
Happy Aloha Friday! =)
