Inspiration for today...

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things.

D was on a roll today...

Today, at work (I work at a daycare so I can still be with my kids but yet earn some money as well), D was in his room and all the other children were sitting around the table ready for lunch. I asked him what he was supposed to be doing. He said, "Yeah, Mom, I know." I asked him why he wasn't doing it...he needed to wash his hands and sit at the table so they could say the "wish" before eating. He said, "Yeah, Mom, I know but I needed to stay here and make up a story about these puzzles here." That is D - always making up stories about anything around him. We have been listening to a story on CD in the car...it's like any kids movie - you have to watch it at least 20 times a day...well, we listen to this every time we are in the car.

He also had a run-in with a door at work. Ended with a black eye - his first. Actually it was not his fault...the girl ahead of him was so excited to be playing outside that she pushed the door open too hard and it came flying back at him. It hit hard and sounded like it hurt lots. He wouldn't let me hold ice on it but it didn't swell up too bad. Just black on his eyelid right now. Daddy said he hit it again tonight on the chair. Never fails when you have an injury - you keep bumping the same spot over and over. Anyway, you will have to check out the Wordless Wednesday and I will post a pic of his eye.

I always tell you that D reminds me so much of my oldest son. Jeremy was always making up stories too. In fact I got him a FP tape player when he was 2 1/2 to hopefully capture some of them and save them. I don't think we ever really did though. Too bad about him getting the shiner, but I suppose he can make up all sorts of stories about what the "other guy" looks like now.

Poor guy! I hope his eye heals. No fun to have an injury.

Ouch!! M'C just had one a couple weeks ago, sadly it swelled huge, and then got all purple and green! Boys are drawn to black eyes, we call them their man patches:0)! Glad he was ok!
