Today, at work (I work at a daycare so I can still be with my kids but yet earn some money as well), D was in his room and all the other children were sitting around the table ready for lunch. I asked him what he was supposed to be doing. He said, "Yeah, Mom, I know." I asked him why he wasn't doing it...he needed to wash his hands and sit at the table so they could say the "wish" before eating. He said, "Yeah, Mom, I know but I needed to stay here and make up a story about these puzzles here." That is D - always making up stories about anything around him. We have been listening to a story on CD in the car...it's like any kids movie - you have to watch it at least 20 times a day...well, we listen to this every time we are in the car.
He also had a run-in with a door at work. Ended with a black eye - his first. Actually it was not his fault...the girl ahead of him was so excited to be playing outside that she pushed the door open too hard and it came flying back at him. It hit hard and sounded like it hurt lots. He wouldn't let me hold ice on it but it didn't swell up too bad. Just black on his eyelid right now. Daddy said he hit it again tonight on the chair. Never fails when you have an injury - you keep bumping the same spot over and over. Anyway, you will have to check out the Wordless Wednesday and I will post a pic of his eye.
