At least that is what C is now saying - and here is the rest of the story......
When I was potty training C, I would have him sit on the toilet but he would always say that it wasn't working. Meaning that he didn't have to go potty...but then he would go in his diaper within the next few minutes. It was very frustrating. He finally got the hang of going on the toilet - even running in by himself but he was still having BM accidents. So the "it's not working" got transferred to the BM aspect of training.
Tonight I was a little cleaning in the bathroom and he ran in to go to the bathroom. I told him that I was proud of him for coming in all by himself and staying dry. Next thing I know he looked up at me with this
HUGE "I did it" grin and he said, "It's working now!" I know exactly what he meant, with a little help from the grunts. ;) He had to go get Daddy to show him and we all did the potty dance.
Hopefully this is the start of the end! His incentive is to be fully trained with no accidents so that he can move up to the next room and ride the school bus on fieldtrips.
Yeah C!!!
