Wednesday night I was laying in bed trying to get my boys to sleep because they are "all alone" without me - even though they have each other...
C tells me he "had a bad dream last night."
I said - oh that's not good what was it about.
He said - Actually, I had two bad dreams (as he holds up two fingers by his face).
I said - that really is not good. What were they about?
He said - Well, the first one was about monsters. (as he is holding up one finger by his face) They were big scary monsters, but only the ones with googly eyes are the bad monsters.
I said - You don't have to worry about monsters coming into our house because Murphy (our dog) will not let any monsters near the house, those monsters are afraid of Murphy. And I won't let anything happen to you either. And, if you are really afraid, you can always talk to God and ask him to protect you and He will help you too.
He said - Yes, you and Murphy and God will help me....
I said - what was your other bad dream?
He said - Well, the other bad dream...the second one (as he is holding up two fingers to his face)...was that we were sitting there and we were watching bad commercials...
I said - Oh, that is bad. (Which was all I could manage to say without busting up laughing because he was being so serious.)
Now I know that the kids at daycare have been playing "monsters" so I can see how he might have a bad dream about them. But, I have no clue where that second bad dream came from or what kind of commercials he has been watching because the TV has not been on hardly at all this last week or two, and if it was on it was a DVD playing but I guess it was traumatic!
